As part of PayPal’s Professional Services organization, the eBay Inc. Integrations team is responsible for delivering integrations of PayPal services across all eBay Inc. level properties and partnerships including eBay Marketplaces, Stub Hub, eBay Enterprise, and BrainTree (Our internal customers).
The MTS2 Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales business process analysis, product function expertise and engineering support for customers who are implementing PayPal services. This role directly partners with the assigned Relationship Directors, Engagement Managers, and Account Managers who drive business development, ongoing business and operational issues with each customer in the eBay Inc. family throughout the pre-sales, sales, and integration process. The senior integration engineer creates and maintains solution designs for each integration opportunity and supports all technical development, testing and launch requirements of the project. Acting as the “voice of customer,” the Senior Integration Engineer provides feedback to the business leaders, product managers, technology, and other internal groups on best practices, product suitability for each customer, and ease of use on new and existing function/features.
In addition to these responsibilities, the senior integration engineer will take a leadership role within the team by mentoring newer IE’s, leading team projects as assigned, and assisting the team manager in developing and implementing strategic and tactical goals and objectives required to enhance the success of the team, the Professional Services group, and the company.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide eBay Inc. internal customers with business process analysis, product functionality review, and technical requirement definition services as requested in support of the pre-sales function, and overall sales/BD strategy.
Provide customer who have committed to implement PayPal services with guidance on changing business processes, website and other workflow modifications, and reporting systems required to implement PayPal solutions into legacy systems.
Facilitate customers with setting up sandbox and testing accounts, provide technical development and coding support, and provide guidance to the customer during testing and pre-launch activities.
Act as main point of contact for the customer for all implementation-related activities throughout the implementation effort and track all customer engagement activity using provided tools.
Bring customers engaged in PayPal product implementations Live-To-Site within targeted time frames.
Ensure customers implement PayPal’s services with a high degree of quality, using optimal integration strategies and techniques.
Collect customer feedback on ease-of-use and function/feature suitability for the business’ processing needs. Provide feedback to product management, product development, and other groups on product improvement and enhancement needs.
Develop and implement a formal mentoring program for newer IE’s based on the IE’s specific needs and skills.
Provide mentoring support to newer IE’s as required to ensure their successful accomplishment of training goals and IE duties.
Take the lead role in team and department projects as assigned by the team manager.
Provide feedback and assist the team manager in developing and implementing goals and objectives related to the achieving team, department, and company strategic initiatives.
Required skills and experience:
Bachellor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance and computer science.
Strong ability to lead and influence across teams and levels without formal authority.
4+ years experience with Internet Technologies including Web Services, SOAP, NVP, HTML/HTTP, and FTP/SFTP
4+ years experience with two or more major programming languages (C++, ASP, Java, .NET, PHP, COM).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
Ability to successfully interact and dynamically adpapt communciation styles with all levels of client organiztions including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, technical/IT staff, and line personnel.
Ability to lead others and perform mentioring duties such as defining trainng needs, coaching, and providing constructive criticsm.
2+ years previous experience in integration engineering or Professional Services, preferably with large to enterprise level companies engagaed in commerce.
2+ Years experience with system discovery process, requirements gathering, systems architecture, and development.
2+ years experience with Payments (Credit Card, Banking, Online, Offline), especially with eCommerce systems, paymens gateways and payment processors.
Abiltity to analyze strategic objectives and define specific tactical goals requried to achieve them.
Knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio and Photoshop.
